Our names are Nancy Westerlund and Mike Cashman. We are from Litchfield Minnesota, which is located about 65 miles West of Minneapolis MN. At Westbound Kennels, we breed the working German Shepherd; working in the kitchen, working in the field, working in the obedience ring, working in the breed ring and last but not least, playing with the children.

At Westbound Kennels (and our home), we treat our puppies as individuals. Every pup has a different personality. We deal with personality, first. Each one is given a name, every dog is bathed and groomed, they all come into the house from the very beginning and are talked to and handled. Every pup that leaves Westbound Kennels is strong in body, mind and heart. We breed the German Shepherd for
appropriate structure and character.
